Suns announcement on November 13th, 2006 that they were applying the "Classpath Extension", in addition to the GPL has put my licensing concerns to rest. The combination of the the GPL and the "Classpath Extension" is a Win Win (Very similar to the LGPL). I would like to retract my earlier statements, that were made under the assumption that Sun was releasing everything under the GPL without consideration for developers. This move really opens up allot of doors for the technology world.
