Section 8.11 states that if a no-rollback exception occurs, retry up to the limit and roll back if still unsuccessful. If the exception is marked as no-rollback, then the chunk should not be rolled back.

So you are saying that an unsuccessful retry should result in commit?

Sounds like we need to discuss this one next Monday but I think Michael is just pointing out that the behavior rollback is deferred to the listener, which by default is rollback but its not automatic with the exception. Awaiting Michael's clarification.

You can close this issue. After some digging, I'm fine with how the spec is worded.
