      Description

      jdeveloper 11.1.1.6

There are many layout differences of components between Firefox and internet explorer by default.

--> The width of inputText is bigger in firefox FieldSize.png
--> The height of inputText with rows>1 is bigger in firefox and resizable textArea.png
--> The choice list values in table is stretched in firefox yet concutenated in IE choiceStretch.png
--> The LOV component in horizontal panel group overlay the next component LOVForm.png
--> The LOV component icon is replaced with 3dots '...' in IE depending on column size LOVTable.png

Some of the above appeared in 11.1.1.6 even though in 11.1.1.4 was ok.

We fixed these issues by finding and changing properties in css. Yet we would expect that these should have by default the same layout and behavior within different browsers.

Sorry for the slow reply, this dropped down my inbox queue.

At this stage this is what I've done:

        1) buttons.png - I will raise a bug if somebody can show me the app isn't simply taking the default size for buttons under the respective browsers.

        2) choiceStretch.png - raised bug 14541874

        3) FieldSize.png - can't replicate. Please outline steps to see this.

        4) inputcomboboxLov in ie8.jpg - as this isn't based on your simple test case, please raise a separate issue

        5) LOVForm.png - will take Duncan's advice here and not raise a bug.

        6) LOVTable.png - can't replicate. Please outline steps to see this.

        7) textArea.png - similar to #1 the textArea feature is that introduced by the browser. If the browser chooses to add additional functionality beyond the component that is beyond our control.

Here forward unless there's clarifications for all other issues besides #2, this ticket will track issue #2 and bug 14541874 only.

        Regards,

        CM.

@ This is an IE8 problem and is demonstrated by the attached html file. Also
@ this issue is already fixed in later versions of IE, so there is no need to
