hi

Please consider working on an ADF Mobile application using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 .
If the ADF Mobile application source has been checked out from a Subversion repository (so the source directories have ".svn" directories), deploy the app to a package.
Rename the resulting APK file to a ZIP file and unzip it.
In the unziped files, find a ".adf" directory containing a ".svn" directory.

  • (q1) Is having ".svn" directories in a deployed APK file intended behaviour? If so, how can it be avoided? If not, can a bug be filed?

fyi

My e-mail to Joe Huang, referring to this JIRA issue ADFEMG-69, did not result in any feedback.

I created service request 3-6412035570 for this.

Bug 14198731 (unpublished) already exists for this issue.
I don't see this as a major issue though - you can use the SVN export function to export a clean copy of the source and build / deploy from that to provide an unpolluted app.

Thank you for the update Duncan.

  • about "Bug 14198731 (unpublished) already exists for this issue."
    • Indeed, currently I am unable to find bug 14198731 on My Oracle Support.
  • about "... you can use the SVN export function to export a clean copy of the source and build / deploy from that to provide an unpolluted app"
    • Indeed, a possible workaround.

In the context of service request 3-6412035516 (related to ADFEMG-68 ) bug 14198731 has been published and I have been able to find bug 14198731, "DEFAULT DEPLOYMENT PROFILE PACKAGES CONTENTS OF .SVN DIRECTORIES", on My Oracle Support.

  • about "... I don't see this as a major issue though ..."
    • Currently bug 14198731 seems to have "Severity 2 - Severe Loss of Service".

Scheduled for a 11.1.2.4.0 fix.

Moved to 11.1.2.5.0 fix.

As 11.1.2.4.0 is currently the last 11gR2 release, this has been rescheduled for 12.1.3.0.0 which (with usual Oracle disclaimers of no guarantees) should include the first ADF Mobile release on 12c.

The associated bug under 12.1.3 has been marked as closed, not reproducible. As such I'll assume it's fixed, but we can reopen this bug if it proves not to be in the 12.1.3 release timeframe.
