      Description

      Here are the things I had in mind about that currently:

      this is a different approach than quiescing, as the version is switched even if some
      people are still using the old version, the sessions are forwarded to the new version.
      I think there is a limit to the session preservation:
      it depends on how much different are the sessions of the two versions being switched ;
      how would we handle that case:

      • do we just let things happen and if the versions are too much different this might
        involve some unexpected behavior,
      • or do we figure out if the two versions are compatible each other to preserve their
        sessions and prevent the switch if they are not compatible?
