      Description

On the "edit node" and "new node" screens under the "ssh" section, please add a "Ping" button that pings the remote node. This is an "ease-of-use" feature that lets the administrator know if ssh is set up properly prior to editing the node.

Sample output from the "asadmin ping-node-ssh" command:

Successfully made SSH connection to node opensolaris (192.168.1.110)

A Ping action has been added to the nodes table, so the ping function is now available in the console.

After discussion with other team member, we don't want to add that to the New node or Edit node screen. If the user has changed some field, but haven't press the Save button, it is very ambiguous whether the ping is using the previous data (which is no longer visible on the screen), or using the newly entered data (which hasn't been fixed).

So, we decided to add the ping action in to the Nodes table.
        Marking this issue fixed.
