The following command is accepted when using the embedded API:
change-admin-password --passwordfile=xxx admin
with a password file containing
Invoking the same command with asadmin CLI does not work.
It complains that the change-admin-password does not take any operand.
The variant "change-admin-password --passwordfile=C:
pwd.txt --user=admin" prints the following output:
"Deprecated syntax, instead use: asadmin --passwordfile C:\pwd.txt --user admin change-admin-password [options]"
The suggested variant prompts for the password instead of taking them from password file.
This makes it impossible to invoke the change-admin-password non-interactively (except with embedded API).
Remark: if the output of the command (about deprecated syntax) is correct then the new syntax is not consistent with other commands like change-master-password or create-file-user which accepts the --passwordfile option. The "deprecated" syntax is more user friendly.
Thanks for your help.
