      Description

      The admin console log viewer is broken because the list of logfile names of 'server' is not available.
      Server.log shows:

      [#|2012-12-14T15:36:46.703-0800|SEVERE|44.0|org.glassfish.admingui|_ThreadID=155;_ThreadName=admin-listener(11);_TimeMillis=1355528206703;_LevelValue=1000;|RestResponse.getResponse() gives FAILURE. endpoint = 'http://localhost:4848/management/domain/view-log/details/lognames.json'; attrs = '

      {instancename=server}

      '|#]

      Debugging into the REST code shows that it fails at the following line:

      private String getLogNames(String instanceName, String type) throws IOException {
              if (habitat.getService(LogManager.class) == null) {
                  //the logger service is not install, so we cannot rely on it.
                  //return an error
                  throw new IOException("The GlassFish LogManager Service is not available. Not installed?");
              }

      IOException is thrown.
      This prevents the logviewer to continue.
