      Description

      Hi

      When I create an external jndi resource using the admin console, it seems that
      not all parameters I enter are passed through to the resource installer. I
      created an resource with the following properties:

      name : externalJDBC
      resource type : javax.naming.Context
      Factory class : com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory
      Jndi lookup : jdbc
      properties:
      org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost=jarjarbinks.momentum.co.za
      org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort=3700

      Debugging in eclipse, I found that when execution gets up to the
      installExternalJndiResource method in the
      com.sun.enterprise.resource.ResourceInstaller class, the ExternalJndiResource
      object passed in only contains the initialPort property, not the initialHost
      property as well.

      I tried to specify some more parameters but it seems that only one parameter
      makes it to that method, not matter how many I type in.

      When I use the asadmin command to do the exact same thing, everything works fine
      and all parameters are passed to the method. eg.

      ./asadmin create-jndi-resource --jndilookupname jdbc --restype
      javax.naming.Context --factoryclass
      com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory --property
      org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialPort=3700:org.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost=jarjarbinks.momentum.co.za
      --user admin --passwordfile ~/.asadminpass --host eduardp --port 4848 --enabled
      externalJDBC

      Regards
      Eduard

        This issue will be scrubbed after this release and will be given the right

        Bulk update to change fix version to "not determined" for all issues still open but with a fix version for a released version.

        This has been fixed in v3/v4. All info entered is the admin console is passed and preserved in domain.xml.
