      Description

The use case is someone (Jersey) doing their own injection via the HK2 lookup API, and who therefor wants to either proxy the results or not. This is related to the HK2 feature "proxying for the same scope". Currently the lookup API will always look like a "different" scope and hence will generally not create a proxy. But if the intent of the caller of the lookup API is to inject it themselves into something of the same scope then they want the proxied version of the service.

It is really something other than wanting to proxy or not based on the intended consumer. There are times Jersey just wants to not proxy at all, no matter what. This only goes for HK2 proxies, not the AOP proxy feature

We are thinking about something like "getRawService" or "getBasicService" or something like that
