 Description  « Hide

Visuals which are placed under the ViewPlatform appear to jitter if the
ViewPlatform is mounted far away from the View World.

In the attached testcase, there is a terrain type wireframe grid mounted under
the ViewPlatform which itself is stationed at 50 units from the World origin.
The grid is un-pickable and is rigidly attached to the ViewPlatform; however,
upon rotating the scene by pressing the left mouse button, I notice that the
grid jitters very perceptibly. This leads to rather annoying artifacts in a HUD.

To test do:

1. deflate the attached vpjitter.jar
2. javac *.java
3. java VPJitter

Press the left mouse button and move the mouse continuously to observe the
jittering effects.
