      Description

It is currently painful to register exception handlers in JSF: see reference ( http://weblogs.java.net/blog/edburns/archive/2009/09/03/dealing-gracefully-viewexpiredexception-jsf2?force=148 )

I think it should be possible to register ExceptionHandlerWrappers directly from faces-config.xml

      <exception-handler-wrapper>com.example.ExceptionHandlerWrapperImpl</exception-handler-wrapper>

This would eliminate the painful 2-class registration process we have now.

I like this idea but I must state that a concrete proposal, attached to this issue, would increase the chance of this making it into the spec from < 10% to > 80%.

Set priority to baseline ahead of JSF 2.3 triage. Priorities will be assigned accurately after this exercise.
