      Description

It would be very beneficial to support java.net.ResponseCache by providing a
default implementation that caches responses in a HTTP/1.1 compliant way inside
of the application – just like already every browser does, this soon will be a
need for all RESTful clients besides browsers.

Greg Luck, the author of EHCACHE, will provide an adapter from
java.net.ResponseCache to EHCACHE. Maybe it makes sense to contact him and merge
      the code into Jersey-2.0.
