Jersey does not enable asynchronous processing by default

    Details

    • Type: Bug Bug
    • Status: Resolved
    • Priority: Major Major
    • Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
    • Affects Version/s: 2.0-m05
    • Fix Version/s: 2.0-m07, 2.0
    • Component/s: None
    • Labels:

      Description

When deploying war with servlet 3 descriptor, jersey searches for a class org.glassfish.jersey.servlet.async.AsyncContextDelegateProviderImpl.class.
But it cannot find it unless it is put to Application.getClasses() set.
As a result, asynchronous processing is not enabled and the error messages states that the asynchronous processing is not enabled in servlet 2.x container.

It seems that this test case describes a similar test case that is already present (and passing) in Jersey2 workspace: tests/integration/servlet-3-async.
Feel free to reopen if the mentioned test case is not sufficient to the one described in this issue (also, please, attach a sample app that would demonstrate the issue).
