demos/j2d/TextFlow (TextRenderer) demo gives fuzzy text

      Description

      I'm using demos/j2d/TextFlow and the resulting text is fuzzy. The text is white
      on black but left side of each letter is not white but rather a light grey and
      the right side is a dark gray. The vertical transitions are always sharp, black
      to white then white to black.

      My own code also gives fuzzy text but since I'm using a smaller font size the
      problem is much more noticeable. How can I get the nice crisp text shown in the
      image on http://www.javagaming.org/forums/index.php?topic=15634.30 ?

      I'm using jogl-1.1.1-rc7 on a Linux machine with a Intel Q35 graphics card:
      LD_LIBRARY_PATH=jogl-1.1.1-rc7-linux-i586/lib java -classpath
      jogl-demos.jar:jogl-demos-util.jar:jogl-1.1.1-rc7-linux-i586/lib/jogl.jar:jogl-1.1.1-rc7-linux-i586/lib/gluegen-rt.jar

        Added setSmoothing / getSmoothing to TextRenderer API to offer control
        over filtering mode of the TextureRenderer backing store.
