      Description

0.1.1 WITHDRAWAL OF AN EXPERT FROM THE EXPERT GROUP reads:

"An Expert may withdraw from the Expert Group at any time. When this happens, the Spec Lead should approach the Member who originally contributed the Expert and work with that organization to find a replacement. If no replacement is offered, the Spec Lead may recruit a replacement from another Member. If the departing Expert"

      This should be replaced with:

"An Expert may withdraw from the Expert Group at any time. When this happens, the Spec Lead should approach the Member who originally contributed the Expert and work with that organization to find a replacement. If no replacement is offered and the departing Expert was not the Spec Lead, the Spec Lead may recruit a replacement from another Member. If the departing Expert was the Spec Lead, the Expert Group should choose one of its members as the new Spec Lead.

Two cases of "not" should be "no".

This last clause is confusing - "... from the entire membership or from the EG membership"

The entire membership of what? The JCP?

If an expert leaves, why would you need another expert on that same EG to replace the
leaving expert? The other expert is already there! In what sense would they be
        replacing the leaving expert?

Do you mean another expert from a Member who is on the EG?

Other than the Spec Lead case, most of this is just advice since experts can be added
to the EG at any time from any JCP member (subject to Spec Lead and EG approval).

s/not/no – agreed, errors due to copy and paste

The last clause actually due to a misunderstanding of a suggested edit, and it is indeed meaningless as is.

        Changed it to:

"An Expert may withdraw from the Expert Group at any time. If the withdrawing Expert is the Spec Lead, the Expert Group, with the help of the PMO, should approach the Member who originally contributed the Expert, if any, and request them to provide a suitable replacement; if no such replacement is forthcoming, the Expert Group should choose one of its members as the new Spec Lead. If the withdrawing Expert is not the Spec Lead, the Spec Lead should approach the Member who originally contributed the Expert, if any, and work with that organization to find a suitable replacement. If no replacement is offered or is not otherwise available, the Spec Lead may recruit a replacement from amongst other Members."

I guess that's ok, although I would prefer the second sentence to be this:

If the withdrawing Expert is the Spec Lead, the Member who originally contributed the Spec Lead, if any, should provide a suitable replacement; ...

I think that would be underspecified, so I'll leave it like it is for now, but will reopen if others also think it's overspecified.
