 Description  « Hide

The doProvisional method only works for 1xx messages that are not 100 Trying (for JSR 289 / Sip Serv 1.1), but it is not explicitly mentioned that 100 Tryings are excluded. There is only a generic mention to 1xx class of messages.

The spec needs to be changed so that eventually the Oracle API documentation can be changed.

See:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13153_01/wlcp/wlss40/javadoc/jsr289/javax/servlet/sip/SipServlet.html#doProvisionalResponse(javax.servlet.sip.SipServletResponse)

This doc is based on the JSR 289 spec, I have been told the spec needs to change first before the API can change.
And since it was not mentioned in the doc that 100 Tryings are excluded it has to lead to confusion and time lost for one of our Applications.

We have been waiting for months already for this to happen ...

================

Currently in Oracle API (similar change to JSR spec too):
handle incoming 1xx class responses.

Change to:
handle incoming 1xx class responses, except 100 Tryings.

Hi, any update on whether this is a go-ahead,
and what sort of timeline to see this included in the first draft.

The change now reflects in the 2.0 draft javadoc. Closing this issue.
