      Description

Whenever I try to open a mobi document (any online free ebook from example) I get an internal error in the library like:

java.util.zip.ZipException: expected End Of Central Directory signature
      at de.schlichtherle.util.zip.BasicZipFile.findCentralDirectory(Unknown Source)
      at de.schlichtherle.util.zip.BasicZipFile.mountCentralDirectory(Unknown Source)
      at de.schlichtherle.util.zip.BasicZipFile.init(Unknown Source)
      at de.schlichtherle.util.zip.BasicZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source)
      at de.schlichtherle.io.archive.zip.Zip32InputArchive.<init>(Unknown Source)

Is this a know issue? I'm currently using TrueZip 6.6

The exception is quite expressive. It means that there is no End Of Central Directory record, so for whatever reason, the ZIP file appears to be corrupted.

I used 7-ZIP to test the mobi archive and it reported on problems with it.
Christian, could you make a quick check to open any mobi free-book document using the latest TrueZip library sources?
The situation could be one of:

Either the latest TrueZip code no longer has this problem.
Or if the problem persists and no MOBI archive can be opened:
        1) Either all MOBI archives are created broken.
        2) Or TrueZIP has a problem.

I don't know why you think a MOBI file is a ZIP file. I just downloaded a sample "Alice in Wonderland" MOBI file and it isn't a ZIP at all. Also, please upgrade to a newer version of TrueZIP. TrueZIP 6.X is dead. If you run into issues, there's little I could do on it.

        Hi Christian,

Yes, sorry about that. We'll also try to upgrade the library we are currently using.
We produce an XML Editor called Oxygen XML Editor and we have an Archive Browser which is based on TrueZip.
If you work with XML we can offer you a free license key for it (support@oxygenxml.com).
Thanks for making a great library that we and our users appreciate.

        Regards,
        Radu
