This works is NetBeans Design Preview, but doesnt work in running gui. I tried a
test case with same UI design form and resize works in the test case. Rocelled
emailed Netbeans folks and they dont see any problem. Netbeans folks need more
information to see if they can find any issues.

Resizing works much better if "Preferences" panel is not part of the UI. Could
be a Swing issue, that it is not handling resizing correctly based on the
        contents of Preferences tab

Please elaborate. I see no status, ever, on the "bottom portion".
        What's a "bottom portion" anyway?

I.e. I don't know what you want done...

I have no idea what you are talking about. If the bug still exists re-open and
explain exactly what you're talking about. Preferably with a screenshot.

Note to everyone – it's very easy on Windows to do a screenshot – it's built-in:

        1) Press the Print-screen button on the keyboard to get a full screen dump
1B) Press Alt-PrintScreen to get a shot of the current window only
2)run pbrush, press Ctrl-V to paste the picture, then save it
