This occurs, for example, on the "Setting Up a Page" page at http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/6/tutorial/doc/bnarb.html.
According to usability expert Jakob Nielsen, "links to a directory should include the final slash in the URL when embedded in webpages. The slash should be left out when writing the URL for human consumption." (http://www.useit.com/alertbox/9703a.html)
On the page mentioned, there is a link to "http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/6/javaserverfaces/2.1/docs/renderkitdocs/" where the trailing slash is included in the visible text. The trailing slash should remain in the hyperlink but be removed from the linked text. This happens in more places than just this link.

The style guidelines under which the tutorial operates specify that the slash should be included in the visible text if it is part of the actual hyperlink.
