 Description

The tags for all of the HTML_BASIC components in Facelets have a "converter" attribute that is specified to do the following.

Type:

javax.el.ValueExpression
(must evaluate to javax.faces.convert.Converter)

Description:

Converter instance registered with this component.

In practice, looking at com.sun.faces.facelets.tag.jsf.ValueHolderRule, this also supports a value that is a converter id.

The spec should be updated to reflect this reality.

Set priority to baseline ahead of JSF 2.3 triage. Priorities will be assigned accurately after this exercise.
