  • For the Client API, the only usage shown is using extends Endpoint and session.getRemote().sendString(...). I was expecting something like:

@Inject WebSocket("/uri") webSocket;

or may be

@Inject WebSocketClient("/uri") wsClient;

Then WebSocketClient can provide Session and other required properties.

We now have the @WebSocketClient annotation.
