This is theoretically possible, however, I'm going to propose we look at this in the next version due to time constraints.

Since we already have a basic security mechanism via the web.xml that we can use, and since we want to take some time to study more use cases for websocket-specific security, we're going to defer this feature to a future version.

It may be that we will want websocket-specific annotations for this.

This has been added to the wish-list for version 2.
