 Description

The Usage info in the Java SE docs is pretty useful for learning and using an
API. It would be nice to see that kind of info included in the javadoc for
glassfish...

To see what I mean, compare the headers of this page

http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/awt/dnd/DragSource.html

with this page

http://javadoc.glassfish.org/v3/apidoc/org/glassfish/admin/amx/base/DomainRoot.html

Trying to clarify the request - is this related to specific classes which should have more javadoc data or to
the way the javadocs are generated? (I don't see a big difference between the two javadoc pages you
reference).

There is a link labeled 'Use' at the top of the javadoc page for DragSource.

That link is not present on the javadoc page for DomainRoot.

The data on that 'Use' page can be very helpful when you are learning an API/SPI.

Bulk update to change fix version to "not determined" for all issues still open but with a fix version for a released version.

Added 3_1-release-notes tag for tracking purposes.

Updated table in 3.1 Release Notes, and added "3_1-release-note-added" tag. Reassigned to Paul Davies because I don't own the public Web pages for which the change also needs to be made. Paul may know who owns these pages. If not, to whom should this issue be reassigned?

Comment by Paul Davies [ 29/Mar/11 ]

Reassigned to alexismp, who is responsible for the GF site web pages.

Taking over the issue but missing some context (the forum link is now a 404).
Are you saying 3.0.1 and 3.0 download pages need to be changed but not http://glassfish.java.net/downloads/3.1-final.html ?
The table rows maps to IPS packages installed in the distro. Which connector package is in the Web profile distro?
