Hi,

I am seeking solutions to support services discovery and lookup over a federated and Internet distributed architecture. I am familiar with Jini/Apache River, Bantam, and Cajo.

If I understand correctly, Cajo greatly simplifies these functions across multiple JVMs. However, I need to provide these functions over the Internet. Fortunately, all participants will have the same software, so they can all have the lookup and discovery functions within the tool.

Can I use Cajo to deliver the lookup and discovery services without requiring a central services broker?

If I understand it right, I am seeking to implement something like a multicast capability, or peer-to-peer, or groupware architecture.

Any feedback or suggestions is appreciated!

Thank you!
Sam
