I'm in the process of converting the project to Java7. I'm using the NetBeans 7.3 RC1 IDE.

Argh. I just discovered that WorldWind won't run on Mac OS X with Java 7. I understand a fix is in the works. Meanwhile, I'm looking at workarounds.

Here's the notice on the goworldwind.org site:

Mac OS X
------
The World Wind window does not display on Mac OS X with Java 7 (all versions). This is due to an incompatibility between World Wind’s underlying graphics library, JOGL version 1.1.1, and Java 7 on Mac OS X. We are working to address this issue by updating to JOGL version 2.0.

Encouraging news: I was able to successfully compile and test a sample program within the World Wind 2.0.0 branch on the Mac with Java 7. I will try to incorporate this version of World Wind into the Wildfire Management Tool (WMT).

Good news! I got the Emergency Management Geomatics framework to run on the World Wind 2.0.0 branch. There's a lot of warning messages that need to be tended to. Once these are addressed, I will checkin the new codebase.
