Hi

My attempts to release a new version of starteam plugin for hudson failed with SVN authentication error[1].

Is correct subversion URL is now https://svn.java.net/svn/hudson~svn/trunk/hudson/plugins/starteam/ ?

I read updated "Hosting plugins" [2] and "Sonatype addendum" [3], but they talk about creating a new plugin. How can I continue with an old plugin? Articles also talk mainly about git. Is there a SVN way? I have only very limited experience with git.

Is the "mvn release" correct way to go or do I have to do something completely different?

Please help me with the release.

I'm very confused.

Jan

I got the same error message when I try to release a new maven snapshot of my project.
It seems the changes of the java.net svn repository are no longer compatible to the old configuration. Before the migration of java.net to the new platform it was necessary to create a password file named '.java.net' which provides the userid and password for the svn repository hosted by java.net.
This seems no longer to work?
Dis anybody now how to configure the maven-release-plugin now?

I solved my problem after providing the mvn releaseTonguerepare command with username and password.
Maybe this tutorial is helpfull:
