Hello team,

I've been developing a .NET client to Hudson using the api/xml interface. I had success doing that and now is totally functional.

My question around the "token" parameter is: Is that really needed?

Let me explain some scenarios: I have a hudson install without security, and Ok. Token isn't needed and I can submit jobs. I have another hudson installation but with security enabled. I have the possibility to assing a token for external job triggering. But even with this configuration, I can submit jobs without "token" parameter...

Can I assume this "token" parameter something obsolete? Give me a scenario that I can enable it safely!

Thanks.

If you specify "token" and you are able to submit job with out token, then it appears to be a bug. Token is meant as a security measure, such that only people knowing the token can submit job.
