I would like to use the "Use custom workspace" feature of the advanced project settings for one of my project configurations. But the option does not appear in the project configuration form.

I am up-to-date, using the latest Hudson ver 1.3.95. On the project configuration page, under the Advanced Project Options section, I click the Advanced button, and there are only these 4 checkbox options:

Quiet Period
Retry Count
Block build when upstream project is building
Block build when downstream project is building

There is no "Use custom workspace" option, or settings field. Where is it?

I just checked with 1.395, I do see "Use custom workspace" just below "Block build when downstream project is building" in the Advanced Project Option

Apparently, this option is not available when you create a project with the "Build a maven2/3 project" option selected. If I select, "Build a free-style software project" when creating a new project, then yes, the "use custom workspace" option is visible on the project config screen.

why is this option not available for a maven 2/3 project?

Hmm.. you are right. It is not included in the maven project. Could you please file a issue at We are planning to give better Maven support in the future release of Hudson. Sonatype, the original maven developers have committed to improve the Maven Support in future version of Hudson.
