I was able to setup LDAP security using a matrix. However, when I add it, there's a big red "do not enter" icon next to it and once I enable security, after I log in, I don't get any rights.

BUT, if I add myself manually to the list, I can log in and get to administration.

What does this red icon mean? What's wrong? I'm a member of the LDAP group.

Does the user Hudson's using to search in the directory need specific rights?

Are you using ROLE_GROUPNAME format for goroup named GroupName? That's what the help says and that's what works.
When I use the ROLE_GROUPNAME format I also get the red "don't enter" icon, but group permissions work as expected. I saw Hudson bug about that but I can't dig it up right now.

Hope that helps,
Rocky
