Sascha/all,

This is also an interesting announcement, showing, that Oracle's Financial products are based on a recent Java 7 version now (for Security reasons mostly, especially in this sensitive environment, but that means, they won't "experiment" with Java 8 or 9 too soon either)

Products like these, the fact, that it's been updated to Java 7 aleady answers the question of Java being used, or others, e.g. Oracle Retail (POS) are just waiting for more standardized definitions of Money and Currency and all of these also would rather use this with the next relevant versions, not in 2020 or so when they may upgrade to Java 9
