No problem Anatole, I have started already. Please let me know when the new
update is ready and if it will be the same URL for the new doc. Thanks!

we are currently still working on the spec. As of now we have a rather good
state I think. If also Stephen thinks, that it makes sense to read it
through, you may start with it...
PS.: @Stephen - I was going through again all the spec (also on paper that
helps ;-) ) and have reorganized some things a bit (streamlines, added
numbers for better alignment with TCK, removed duplicate parts etc). Now it
looks much better for me. All references to specific RI stuff should be
removed now. I also tried to specify things as I find it useful, e.g. for the
small formatting part. So I would ask back - WDYT? When you agree, we can
progress, it would be great to drop a short mail to Edgar, so he can start
going through the spec also (btw big thank you for your work here!).

I will proof read the JSR Specification and compare the classes mentioned
there against the classes in github. No problem for me for working through
the same spec. I will read it anyway ;).

Thank you so much, I am completely overwhelmed about the fast and numerous
(!) feedback, that’s really great!
Since we are quite a few, I think it makes no sense that all are working
through the same spec, there are basically also other areas, were your input
would be very valuable.
Summarizing I see the following areas
- JSR Specification:
- API JavaDoc:
- RI JavaDoc:
Additionally most of the features that were part of the JSR during Early
Draft Review have been moved into a separate repository. This features are
not anymore part of the JSR, but would be very valuable for the community
nevertheless (and, when JodaMoney will be compatible with the JSR, also
usable with JodaMoney ;-) ):
- Basic common functionalities;
- Extended Formatting:
- Currency Conversion:
- Validity API:
- Region API and Currency Services:
- Calculations and Financial Formulas:
For all the above areas in the EDR version of the spec there was also some
documentation. I can prepare several standalone documents for the different
topics, so we would have also a comprehensive description of the different
areas not anymore contained in the JSR.
So what do you think? Would some of you also like to work on the other
topics? If yes, on which…?
