Subresources with overridden generic methods give media type conflicts
----------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: JERSEY-1664
                 URL: http://java.net/jira/browse/JERSEY-1664
             Project: jersey
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: core
    Affects Versions: 1.11
            Reporter: epapegaaij

A subresource that defines methods with generic parameters which are
overridden in a subclass results in a 'Consuming media type conflict.'
message, causing the resource to fail:
SEVERE: The following errors and warnings have been detected with resource
and/or provider classes:
SEVERE: Consuming media type conflict. The resource methods public
javax.ws.rs.core.Response
nl.topicus.rest.AbstractCrudRestService.create(java.lang.Object) and public
javax.ws.rs.core.Response
nl.topicus.rest.AbstractCrudRestService.create(java.lang.Object) can consume
the same media type
SEVERE: The RuntimeException could not be mapped to a response, re-throwing
to the HTTP container

I've attached a showcase of this problem. Simply open
http://localhost:8080/jaxrsbug/rest/identity/address to trigger the exception.
