= Java Performance Counter Monitor Wiki =
Welcome to the Java Performance Counter Monitor project. The intent of this project is to expose chip level counters for Nehalem and like chips. The project is based off of C++ code published by Intel as part of an article describing a better way to monitor CPU utilization. The initial scope of this project is to expose those counters in Java via MXBeans and then ultimately have them displayed in VisualVM.
