Anish/all,

There seems to be a wide-spread typo, as "Contributer" should be "Contributor" like Distributor.

The discussion of OpenDocument or Word format vs. plain text documents like MarkDown, AsciiDoc, etc. was held in a couple of JSRs of all stages.
Several Spec Leads prefer a text processor for WYSIWYG editing comfort. And while e.g. our DevOps team in Denmark or Open Source projects mainly around CDI made perfect progress using such markup styles, I haven't seen a real equivalent to Drag & Drop graphic editing or quick preview before you actually generate the PDF or other target document.

Where possible, I suggest we may share some of that in a Spec Lead Guide or similar experience report. It isn't the first EG coming across such questions and it won't be the last.

Werner

Updated doc based on Patrick's suggestions. Doc is change-marked.

This includes material from Steve's presentation and subsequent discussion.

I can explain and go through the document on the call if Patrick wishes.

Note that this is just the 1st draft (of many to come, I suspect). I
tried to capture the proposal and my sense of where the IP Working Group
was heading. Patrick has already made three suggestions for the doc:
1) For completeness sake include every role/obligation/rights even if
says 'same as above',
2) Include a summary table (no more than a page).
3) If it makes sense add flow diagrams.
