Can anyone recommend a good nagios plugin for checking spools?

This one works fine at least on Solaris 10/11: http://s23.org/wiki/Nagios/checks/solaris_zpools

It is useful to add arc size into Nagios performance data too:

arcsize=`kstat -p zfs:0::size | awk '{printf "%d", $2/1048576}'`

I would like it to work on Solaris 10/11 and FreeBSD 8/9.

One issue I've run into so far is that zpool status requires root, is there an easy way  I can allow the nagios or nrpe user to be able to run zpool status?

Did not come across this.
