Creating ER diagrams for existing databases. It's an easy way to document your db. Currently only PostgreSQL, MySQL and JavaDB are supported but adding other dbs is not difficult. Viewer exists as a standalone app or a Netbeans module. Our code is under BSD licence (you can do with it whatever you want) but it can use other opensource libraries that may be on other licence (like GPL). See wiki for manual and help.
Domain Object Explorer is a desktop application that auto-generates the user interface for your JPA / EJB3 entity beans.
jLogMan displays the current state of java.util.logging's Loggers and Handlers in an "Outline" (a tree table widget). With it you can create new Loggers and Handlers and change logging levels. There are Actions to save/restore logging configurations to/from files and an option to apply the configuration at startup. It can be dropped into any swing app (tested with jre 1.6 and 1.7); there is a NetBeans plugin. See the wiki for details and docs.
A generic application framework based on the NetBeans Platform for JavaFX 2.0 application developers. For example, an actions framework is provided for hooking JavaFX events to a predefined and customizable menubar and toolbar. Modularity is generically part of the framework, as well as the potential to extend it with a docking framework that reuses the infrastructure of the NetBeans Platform window system.
